The one thing I really hate about my LX is that it had no way to carry any loose items. A pair of gloves, my chainsaw helmet, pruners - there is absolutely nowhere to carry stuff like that.

I'd seen some folks on the forum bolt an ATV cargo basket onto the ROPS, but I was concerned that anything mounted there would make it really difficult to access the PTO for attachment hookup & removal, and also possibly obscure visibility when snowblowing in reverse. So I designed a basket that can be easily removed just by pulling two pins.

Also, I wanted some welding practice (I'm still quite new at it). So I spent most of the weekend in the shop making a mess. It was relaxing.

I reattached the little OEM plastic box inside the basket, as that's where I keep small parts like shear pins and such. I might even replace that with something smaller, but probably won't get around to it.

1. Nice extinguisher mount and nice cutter mount…I may steal that one.
2. Very well done basket.
3. If not checked already be aware of the top link to the basket in the full up position if using with other implements.

with my snowblower on (which has a pretty high top link position), it contacts with the 3PH at 7 - where the implement is about 2' off the ground. I can live with that :)

I mounted the firex bracket with 2 Rivnuts so it would be secure and not rattle.

Thanks for the kind words.

I did a similar basket for my MX. although I added 2 hitches so that I could drop into the top receiver on triangle or put in the front receiver on my bucket (if that makes sense?). I opted for stake pockets instead of permanent sides though. Same reason though, not place to put tool box or much of anything. I’d like something similar to yours on my B, it has same lack of storage as the others.
