Newlyme has volunteered his time to create "groups" where people can go, to get aid or just meet their more local friends. You can post direct to the group for messages about........ anything local to you such as.. get togethers, wrenching weekends, Need of a rescue etc.

Sooo go to your "User CP" and join the group that fits your generic location

OK, so this doesn't seem to work, please tell me how to create a group, and I'll give it a try. Right now all I get is "No Subscribed Groups" and no way to find any to subscribe to.

Click on social groups, then there is an option for all groups. Then select the group you would like. :)

Thanks Daren,

There is no selection for all groups, but under Uncatogorized I found the groups.
It's not very user friendly.

Under user cp there is a tab on the left that says social groups. After clicking that it brings up the social groups page, and on the right shows some of the groups in a box. At the bottom of that box, there is a tab that says "view all groups" :)

Daren,

Thanks! I found it. I may be the better idiot to foil the idiot proof directions. Years of practice...

I've been searching and can't find anything similar to what's being described here. I would be interested to check it out if I could.

Looks like we will need to get the mods involved. The groups was something under the old forum.

Looks like it was dropped when the they updated to the new format.

Drive it over here Susan. We can do a ' wrench day' -- change oil/filters, whatever needs to be done.

Hey I did one outside of Seattle a few years ago:

Are you the "Finger" guy ?? ;)
lol, no - I was behind the camera. Was on a ride from CT to CA then north to WA then east back home. These guys were on an FJR forum (Yamaha FJR1300 mc) and mentioned they were going to have a wrench day at one of their houses.
I needed an oil / filter change by the time I got there. They provided everything for me gratis including coffee and an offer for lunch. Couldn't stay for the lunch - miles to go before I sleep.
