Well just putting the finishing touch's on my DIY cab before winter, took me 2 months off and on (more on) to build. Took ideas from YouTube videos and made my own plans. Did not like any of the after market cabs for my B2601. This one will stand the test of time. Made from 2" tube frame and 1" tube doors with flat bar on outside. Ran all my wiring through the tube with extra pull wires. The cab is all glass except lower doors which is lexan. Primed painted and clear coated.

Well I thought long and hard about my roof material, not using wood probably have to go to sheet metal but did not like the idea off the paint lasting. Then one day I saw an add for a free truck box liner I thought that's it so I went and got it and cut the bottom of the liner for the roof and used another flat section for behind the seat and down around the hydraulics. Nice thing about the liner what ever material it is made off it will melt together easy so I finished the front and back off the roof with liner pieces, 45'vd the corners and melted the cuts back together to hold worked good.
Yep got a heater in not hooked up yet and adding strobe light work lightsLooks pretty rugged.
Any plans for additional lighting, heating, stereo?

To the OP, are you planning to put the top half of the ROPS back on? Just curious, nothing more…I guess it may block your view a little.
Hi, No I wasn't, first Can't get in my shop when its up, can't see when snow blowing that good, and I'm on level ground so pretty safe and I think with the way I built the cab its just as safe or safer thks
Outstanding job on your cab! You can be proud your workmanship and glad you've included a heater this winter.

Looks very well designed and built. I always worry about tipping in these lighter machines. Please be careful.

Nice looking cab. If you have heat in the cab you may want to make at least one of your windows and "awning-style" opening window - that is, hinged at the top so the bottom pushes out and away from the cab frame. This will allow for ventilation (especially when snowblowing and your coat might be covered in snow that melts, increasing the humidity level in the cab rapidly, resulting in you being "fogged in").
Also - I have one cab that limits my view of the 3pth lift arms and drawbar, much as yours does. It's not often I have to look down there but when I do, it's frustrating not to be able to see what I need to see. In the photo below you can see how the lower portion of the rear wall of the cab is glass - this is truly helpful in some instances. With this in mind you might give consideration to replacing that lower portion of yours with lexan or similar material. Just a suggestion. Anybody who takes on a cab build is a brave soul and you've done well with yours!
