I just put my L3710 back together after having a new front engine cover installed. Unfortunately, great mechanic that I am, I ended up with a couple of loose wires that seem to go nowhere.

The wires hang off the end of the air cleaner. The parts catalog identifies the part they come out of as "15831-11090 ASSY INDICATOR." I will attach a screenshot. It's part number 70 in the diagram.

Can anyone tell me where these things plug in?

The web says the part is an air rest sensor. Okay, that's wrong. It's an air restriction sensor. I guess it tells you when the filter is dirty.

I found out this thing plugs into a couple of connectors on a wire that also holds the headlight connector. It was tucked up behind the engine.

Yes. Air restrictor (dirty air filter) indicator switch.
My L35 has the same thing.
When the suction gets too high in the filter box, the vacuum pulls the contacts closed and a dash light comes on.

Man it's bad when you get on the internet to ask questions, then have to answer them yourself!! You did good though.;);)
