No, I don't thnk turfs are the same as R4's, so far as I know. (I'm no authority)
My stock BX2380 tires are what you'd normally find on pretty much any lawn tractor or very similar (at least visually) to that style. Very little in the way of "lugs" (if that makes sense).
My dealer told me these (turfs) were best for snow....but I did the chains on top anyways as an insurance policy. I've seen the 1965 International tractor next door with "typical" BIG tractor tires get stuck on ice or deep snow and there used to be a guy across the road with almost the identical tractor but with big chains and a little rear weight....he never got stuck. That's all I needed to see !
