Best sharpener I have found is the Pferd Chain Sharp. For me it's been a game-changer. Every two tanks I take 5 or 10 strokes on each tooth, and I'm always cutting with a sharp chain. Takes just a few minutes. Takes care of the rakers at the same time.
If I rock a chain I take it to my Oregon sharpener, but keeping them sharp with the Pferd means I rarely need to go to the Oregon.
Hey, on that muffler mod, be careful. People have ruined saws. Get some pro advice. Arboristsite, like Dan mentioned. Lots of pro saw builders on there.
Another thing on the muffler mod - whatever you do, screen it. I had mason bees get into my muffler and set up shop in my exhaust port. Not fun.
