I have a L4060 w/ an LA 805 loader. I’ve already had an issue with the steel wearing itself down near the front pivot points. I noticed yesterday though that the right side cylinder on the front of the loader moves freely left and right within the loader arm. Is there a bushing or something I may be overlooking that will stabilize this? Is this even an issue. I don’t have any pics at the moment either. Thanks.

I don't know the specifics of that loader but sounds normal to me.

I think it has some play but I'll check tonight if you haven't gotten an answer. I have the same setup.

Its been an issue for a while. Mine only rubbed paint, but some wear slivers of metal off that link. Kubota replaces the ones that wear that deep. I added arbor shims to my current one. Not enough to take all the slack out. Just enough to keep metal rubbing from side loads. They should have cast more lip on the links, and it wouldn't happen.

Is this the area you’re talking about? Both sides have lots of slop but my rt side has a little more.

This is it. Just saw this, sorry. After I looked, I realized those do have some play in them. Something didn’t seem right when I initially saw it, but my other tractors have play as well. Thanks for the reply.

I believe we are talking about the ones down at the link to quick attach.

This is where I have some serious wear, yes. No clue why. Dealer wanted me to bring it in, said they’d look at replacing it, but it’s worn down to a place that it’s stopped, so I’ve not taken it in. I’ll try to post a pic.

That doesn't look right to me. I have a little wear in that spot but yours looks excessive like maybe the SSQA on the left side is pinched or out of spec? Here's the best pic of mine I could find offhand.

I believe the fix offered by the dealer was to replace the SSQA bracket and of course that lower linkage. I think I’m going to take it in this fall and see what happens.

Does the link that is worn move freely? My MX had a stuck pin on that link to ssqa, causing rubbing, but not as bad as yours.

Yes, it moves freely as best I can tell. There’s no issue with the way the loader works.

Its a flaw with the link(not enough thrust surface) Some wear excessive, some just rub the powder coat. If you want to fix the issue yourself, you need to add a shim(arbor shim) between the link and the ssqa. Good chance new parts will do it again. The intent is not to take all the slop out, just to eliminate the side conflict. Tractor supply sells a multi shim kit for a few $, in the pin/3point section.

Awesome! Thanks for the info.
