Two days ago, I removed the front end loader from my 7040 (only 28 hours on it.) I reinstalled it this afternoon and then found that it would only go up about 2'. I finally got it to go all the way up by bleeding the pressure line into the cylinders. I still haven't it to put pressure downward. What is wrong and how can I avoid it happening again?

Double check your hydraulic lines and make sure they are not crossed or see if they are connected tightly into the quick connect coupler.

Eric has it diagnosed. It is a common problem.

Remove all of the quick attach connection and re-seat them. If the lines were reversed or mis-connected then some odd movements will happen.

Also, make sure your 3PH is all the way down in case the lift adjustment has somehow changed.
