Mowing yesterday & needed to move something from in front of me. I disengaged PTO, dropped the throttle, shut off engine and moved the object.
Got back on to start engine...nothing. The only thing that comes on when I turn the key is the glow plug indicator light, engine does nothing. Neither the engine oil pressure light nor the electrical light come on when I turn the key. The flashers will blink, but the turn signal and headlights don't light.
Any ideas or suggestions? PTO switch? I've moved the PTO lever. Seat switch? Battery seems OK since flashers work. Fuse? Not sure how the 30A fuse plays into this, but its not blown. I'm out of ideas and ready to go to the dealer. Thanks

I know this is a really old thread but I have the same exact problem with my B2601. What was the solution?
Thanks

Did you check to make sure that you had continuity through the seat safety switch? Perhaps someone knows what works and what doesn't work when you lose seat switch continuity.

The seat switch is intact.
Probably should have started your own thread instead of resurrecting a 3 year old one.

Try holding the key in the start position while bouncing on the seat, wiggling the PTO lever and see what happens.

For me it was the pto lever. Shut it down as always but next day no start. Traced it to the pto lever being partially seized. Spray all the linkage especially the one coming out of the housing. What I thought was disengaging was actually bending the linkages.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I was trying to get the attention of the original poster to see what his solution was.

Incase anybody is searching for this problem in the future, it was a fuse. Specifically the headlight fuse.
