Ground hogs

Is anyone else inundated with them this year? I have relocated,,,, coff coff ,,,, 23 so far this year, counting the 2 today

I got the first one yesterday. Sako in .222 rem. 75 yards.

Bet you guys are burying them, right? Don't you know they're like potatoes - they multiply when you plant them.

I almost ran over one crossing the road a couple of weeks ago. Didn't think they could move that fast.

I cleaned a few remnants of one out of a trap earlier today. They are devoured, bones and all, by who knows what as their spirits arrive in heaven. As bucolic as the country life seems underneath lay a ravenous kill or be killed ecosystem. Makes me question my apex predator status.

bunch of them round here too but they ain't got much to eat now. Everythings dried up

At first glance I thought the owl was part of the birdbath !

D2 - I had some pictures from another angle that showed him sitting on the rail - all the leaves behind him are in focus, the owl in not. Another reason I need a better camera.
