Another grease thread, but for the MMM

I know there are many grease threads, but most pertain to the FEL rather than the MMM. The manual for my BX says to use "multipurpose EP 2 grease." I use Kubota's moly-lithium grease on the loader but understand this is not appropriate for the MMM because of the high speed/temps involved in the mower, correct? I have a ZT mower that uses HD lithium complex grease. Could this be used on the MMM? Or do I need to buy the polyuearu? Thanks for the input.

If I were concerned, I would use the type of grease the manufacturer recommends.

That being said, and me not being smart enough to question things, I have just used the same grease I use for everything else, on my BX MMM over the last 18 years without issues...that's about 1500 hours on the tractor, mostly mowing...I do try to grease a lot every ten hours of use though.

Don't know what grease your operators manual calls for but like the hot sauce commercial says "I use this sh#t on everythng". Its polyurea based.

Just don’t mix grease types (that are incompatible) and avoid high volume molybdenum grease on anti-friction bearings to avoid sliding damage on the rolling element of the bearing.

Think the rule of thumb was nothing with more then 5% Moly content if you were using it for an everything grease.
