Ok one moved into the barn, with in the last 3 days and has ALREADY 3 freekin holes,, 2 of which are under my old tractor letting the tires sink into the ground,, and the 3rd in the goat pen and GKWS how many more... No! Its to close to, to many things and I cant shoot the little *(&^!%#&*%$@! whistle pig,, I know Agway and most likely TS sells smoke bombs, which I have never found to work all that well.
SOOOOOO if, somehow say a gallon of bleach and a gallon of ammonia got spilled down the hole and the holes ahh caved in on them selves sealing them,, would the resulting unpleasant and potentially toxic vapors,, promote the demise of said subterranean dwelling herbivore ??

Just hock a hose to the exhaust of a small engine and stick it in the hole.

Hmmmmm,, ahhhh,, sweetheart I have to run into town, would you mind dumpin this stuff down the hole while Im gone,,,

Really I think I am going to find some flex conduit and put it over the exasut of my Bout and let it run in to the hole for a while,, and see what happens,, someone on another site said about a gopher blaster, filling the hole with propain and touchin it off, but I figure with all the holes and dirt this guy has moved if I did that I might sink the barn,,lol

My place is overrun with gophers, too...5 acres of gopher holes and mounds. Tried smoke bombs and flooding them out. Been avoiding poisons due to neighborhood pets. Where are all the natural predators!?

Ah well... most of the fun extermination methods are illegal. Some patience and a .22 rifle are probably the best alternative.

No wonder they came back skeets, the fumes from diesel engines don't contain enough carbon monoxide to kill it'll just make em cough:D
you need to hook up to a gas engine.

if your not going to use a gas engine's exhaust...
set out a pan of anti- freeze for it to drink.. make sure no pets or farm animals drink it...
left over medications....
i had a bottle of predizone left over, sweetened them up with some cornmeal and sugar, then put it out for a treat. got rid all of my extra varmints...

I was searching for the root beer carb part of the link below. Very interesting what dry ice can do. Scroll to see the gopher eradication. I have at least one ground hog in my barn now that I just can't seem to get a shot at. I'm thinking of trying the dry ice. CO2 is heavier than air so even if I don't find and cover all exits it should still work???

I have a chipmunk, ground squirrel, too close to my house. Haven't been able to shoot him yet. Finally found where he was going into the ground. Took 16 oz of bleach, poured it into the hole, took a deep breath, turned an 8 oz coke bottle filled with ammonia over and stuffed the neck down into the hole. Immediatly left. No explosion but there was fumes comeing out of the hole. Have not seen the varment since.
