I may want to trade my 70s Kubota. It is very weathered from outside storage for its first 20 years, but it is in excellent mechanical and operating condition., Has a back blade and a front bucket. Starts up every time, even after sitting for a year. My guess is it is a 1971-1975, somewhere in there. I want to get the most value possible, of course, without being unreasonable. I have no idea how to value an older or classic Kubota.

Sure you don't have an L185?
OEM decal shows....L185D
Tractordata.com shows years built as 1977-1982.
Tractorhouse has low time L185D's. with loaders, listed from $3,500 to $5,700.

that size tractor in my area would be $3-6k. Assuming Average hrs, tires in good shape, not dented or banged up, everything working in good order. There's a lot of variables, but it seems the compact sized tractors command a premium when 4x4 and loader equipped. The stick shift is the only things that could hurt it. Most people don't seem fond of it, over an hst machine. Being an L series does have its perks over the B series being a heavier tractor, so that's a plus in my mind.
I'd sell the back blade separately, personally. It's not a bad thing to go with it, but you'll get more money for it separately imo.

If everything works, the sale value of a L185DT with a loader is in the $8K to $10K range.
Before everyone gasps and tells me it's not worth that, I know, but they sell for that all day long.

Thats interesting, around here there's lots of high priced tractors in that hp and size range going for sale, but the older, stick models seem to hang around for a long time before being sold. Deffinatly a difference from area to area.

The particular area of the USA is a BIG variable for selling price!
