Just joined the OTT forum. Thinking of upgrading from my JD 4520 CUT to a newer, bigger tractor. Only dealer in town is Kubota/JCB. I have 3 Ferguson open stations and the JD is Cab & Air. Looking for information on 60-70 horse models.

Thanks in Advance.

Kubota has a lot of size overlap in that power range - from an L, to MX, M, M4 and M5, I think. What implements and what kind of work are you doing with it?

Pretty much everything from Bushogging, planting cultivating and loader work. I’ve looked at the MX5400 which is the equivalent to my JD to a MX6000, M5060, M4-071. The MX6000 seems the better fit for the size of my existing implements and trailer width. I’m thinking I want to go up to a full size tractor (M4-071) as the lift capacity is about a half ton more than the MX6000. It’s also about $10,000 more.

The MX 6000 also weighs about 1000 pounds less and will fit on my existing trailer. Side rail to side rail of trailer is 72-1/4” inside dimension.
