B8200 lost lights and dash power

Hi. I lost dash and lights but it still can start a run. Where the heck is the fuse panel?...sorry for the basic question, but I would think it would be out in the open. I think I shorted something out while searching for the reason for my flasher not working.

On my B7200 the only fuses are a couple glass bulb fuse holders behind the grill under the air cleaner. Dash lights? All it has is an oil and charge lights on the dash.

On mine there is also a fusible link in the main battery power cable. Its located near the starter on the left side of the engine. When mine blew I replaced it with an inline ATC type fuse and fuse holder.

If the fusible link goes I don't think the starter will crank. Kills power to everything. Good call though.

On a B7200 it kills all power to the main wiring harness which includes the ignition switch. No lights, fuel gauge, glow plugs, or starter. B8200 may be the same but its something to check.

Thanks. I'll look under the air filter. It starts...but no oil light, fuel gauge flasher, or headlamps

Hmmm.... Sounds like you have lost main power to the ignition switch but still have power on the starter circuit. A wiring diagram would be informative - page 47 in the Owners Manual.

So, I have the wire diagram but still can't find the fuses. Are they i the dash? They are not under the air cleaner. Seems like mechanically every thing works. Just no gauges or lights.

Using a meter and wiring diagram it should be pretty easy to trace the circuits. The fuses are shown on the diagram.

Well...I feel stupid. There is no fuse box or panel. As someone mentioned, it's just 2 inclined glass fast burn fuses just under the left hand side of the gas tank. A 10A and a 15A. I blew the 15A while searching for the reason my flashers stopped working
