That one plug was still leaking when I pulled it out yesterday to grease it. Tightened the damn thing again.

Next change, I'm using my oil extractor and determine which side it will remove the oil from. Will not remove that plug at least.

Have been using oil extractors for years. Only way to get oil out of the Isuzu generator driver.

Curse the Japanese engineers who insist on putting the oil filters underneath.

Love the German MB engineers who mount the oil filters on top!

I bought the one Lugbolt recommended AmazonSmile: Mityvac MV7300 Pneumatic Air Operated Fluid Evacuator with Accessories for Draining Engine Oil or Transmission Fluid Directly Through The Dipstick Tubes, 2.3 Gallon : Automotive
It works(ed) great. Changed engine oil in blink of an eye. Used it this spring and now while it still pulls a good vacuum whether you turn off the air valve or not air is always flowing. So basically I got one "good" use out of it. Still works but I don't think it's supposed to have air constantly flowing even when suction is turned off. Otherwise great (if very expensive) tool. Also nice because my engine oil drain plug is impossible to get to with mower deck on, and PO stripped threads slightly. Used some pipe thread tape (yellow teflon tape) on the threads no leaking now. But, don't want to take the plug out again. Which is reason I bought the MightyVac. Like I said still working. It even sucked out he 90W from the mower deck gear box

On my old tractor I stripped one of the oil pan plugs. I used a self tapping oil pan repair plug like those posted in the link. I had several oil changes using that repair and no problems of any kind. Amazon repair kit
