So, I picked up a used LX2610 (35 hrs) on Saturday which I got to replace my B2320. I am having an issue now with the 3pt not going low enough. It is at least 10" above the ground at the lowest point, the b2320 will go down to just a few inches above the ground. I have to pick up the three point implements to them up. Is there any adjustment I can do to get it to go lower? I can't find anything in the book on adjusting it to go lower. It does talk about moving the closer hole on the lift arms, but it seems to discourage it.

I also have the 60" belly mower, which I don't want to mess up.
Thanks

Post a picture straight from the back....betting you have 2 holes in the lower links/lift arms.

Your B2320 may have the same setup.

If you move the lift arm/side links to the hole closer to the tractor, the lift arms will go lower and higher. In doing so, you will lose some lifting power

I store many of my implements on pallets to raise them up. The BX series doesn’t have that feature.

PS - just zoomed into your picture. Move lift links back to the holes that are there..... about 3” closer to tractor from current mounting point....

What is the height from the ground to the center of the hole on your lower arms when fully lowered? Mine is 11.5" using the same lower link holes. That is normal for the LX2610. I can easily connect my quick hitch to both my ballast box and box blade at this height.

je1279, Mine is about 12" high. So I guess this normal. I am planing to add the Pat's Quick attach like I have on the b2320 which will lower it some. It just seems high.

Here is another picture. I am good with trying the closer hole on the 3 pt arm, as long as I don't mess anything up with the belly mower. 3pt.jpg 2 tractors.jpg

I would see if you need to move it before you mess with it. Your 2320 3 point goes much lower than I'm familiar with. Add the Pat's Easy Change to the LX2610 and try it out with your implements. Then if needed, you can adjust the lower links to the closer holes. Oddly, the manual only mentions lifting higher with the closer holes which I found strange.

I can't speak to the MMM linkage. It's different than the BX series.

I would consult the Operating Manuals for both the tractor and Mower for more information.

Your B2320 3PH is almost dragging. I would consider that abnormal versus the LX2610....

I think the LX is where is supposed to be.

I have my box blade hooked up now, but guessing the eyes of my 3PH balls are 10"+ from level ground when lowered all the way. That's a much smaller BX....I still have to put some of my attachments on a pallet to grab them with the Quick Hitch.

Your 3 point is normal and while in use has no reason to go any lower! As said your implements need to be blocked or raised off the ground to make hook up easier. I just set my implements on some 4x4's.

Both the positioning of the lift links in the rearward holes of the three point arms and the taller turf tires are contributing to your dilemma.

I installed the optional (on ROPS models) extendable lift arm links on my B3350. These help a bit but my lift arms still do not lower sufficiently to hitch everything not blocked up.

In your opening-post you acknowledge the solution..... MOve your lift arms to the holes closer to the rear axle.
The reason it “seems to discourage it” ....is because that will reduce the amount of Weight the 3-pt can lift. But it only does so slightly, and unless you’re intending to lift the Empire State Bldg..... I doubt you’ll ever miss the lift-capacity.

Well I finally moved the lift arms to the holes closer to the axle. It lowered the three point about 3.5 inches. So now it is about 8 inches above the ground which works great with my woodland Mills stump grinder. Thanks everybody.

Just to make sure I am understanding this correctly, are these the holes people are referring to??? Meaning, if I move them, my attachments should be able to reach much lower.

I opted for the R14 tires so I'm guessing this is causing my box blade to not make great contact with the ground. I have tried adjusting the top link multiple times but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

I also added wheel spacers and a quick hitch, but I don't think either of them matter with this issue.

TIA

Yes. That is what I moved. I have not had any issues since I moved to the holes closer to the tractor. People say it reduces the 3 pt lift capacity some.

This is great information. I just finished setting up my 3-point auger and was confused at the fact that I could only auger a 34" deep hole due to the lift arms not lowering far enough. Adjusting the lift arm pivot hole as noted above should get me to at least 36" deep and 48" deep with a 12" auger extension. I need at least 48" deep where I am at geographically.

I am however a little leery about loosing some lifting power. I suppose I'll approach it by cleaning out the hole frequently as I auger.

With this adjustment do you loose 3.5" lifting height?

I am glad I found this, I was skidding some small logs (Norwood LogHog). I was finding the logs going under the implement. I'll give a try here.
