b7100 dynamo

I need the part number for fan mounted dynamo on my b7100 750 diesel

15372-64010 for the entire assembly. Also requires gasket 1526172920, shown as "Replaced by 1526372920" on the Kubota Canada website.

There's also a listing for the component parts, but some are listed as No Longer Available and others are priced higher than the complete assembly.

I got into mine a couple of years ago - 8 bucks set of bearings is all it needed!!!!

On another note - the center bottom nut can be a royal PITA to get off and back on - I have a neat solution to get it back on quickly.

Kubota part number 1553174180, shown as CDN$11 on the website. But I bet it is a commercially available bearing. Check for a number on the bearing itself when you get it apart.

Funny. If I had to bet, I would have said either a 6201-2RS or a 949100-3480

yeah - I was shocked when 2 of them cost be like 8 bucks .......... not that 4 bucks a bearing was cheap, but ol - 8 bucks and I get this thing spinning again........ o hell yeah.


this is how I knew my bearings were bad ............ talk about balls missing ......

gee a nice EASY job...... 2 decades ago I had to replace the bullgear bearings on one of my D-14s. THEY weren't available at Princess and cast iron finals are very ,very heavy !
BTW there's 6 balls ther, just 'reinsert' them..,save $4 .hehehehehe...

Could you please astound us with your solution to getting that nut off and on. I am right now stuck trying to get it off.

Use an air impact with proper sized socket, be sure it's in reverse, 1 quik lil burp....it'll be off.

Brother Jay .....this nut is in a place that one cannot even get a finger on!!! It is a freakin nightmare to try to get off and 3 times that to get back on!!!


you need either a modified 10mm open wrench or ......... the best solution is a 5 degree or a 3 degree swivel head ratcheting wrench.

this will take the nut off ............. easy peasy .............

now getting that little beeaaauch BACK on ................ will make you invent cuss words!!!

My solution .............

drill a small 1/16 - 1/32 hole at the end of this bolt :

place a wire - small ss piece that will fit in the end of that hole and allow it to get out of the way.

Gasket the entire assembly and then get the other 5 nuts on and snug them......... each has a lock washer that goes with the nut.

Once you are ready for nut #6 ........... pick up wire and slide washer and nut down the wire......... then get your one finger up under and give it the ol flick a few times to get it started.......... remove wire.

that ratchet wrench will tighten all down nicely.

The first time I did this ........... took 30 minutes,......... water leaked , 2nd time .......... took it all apart and found a problem with the alum housing............

the 3rd time took me about 5 minutes..............

Have you tried a ratchet 5 degree - flex head? It is 10 bucks on amazon and worth every penny!!!!!!

Thanks for the link and your technique of getting the nut started and back on! When I did mine on my B7100 after the required amount of cussing I sacrificed a cheap 3/8 combination wrench. I had to open up to 10mm, and after grinding half of the wrench away I got the job done. I think I will pick up the 10mm ratchet wrench you linked to , just in case I have to do that job again.

I was thinking the nut holding the pulley onto it, not a mounting nut...

now wondering HOW they did it at the factory, in what 15-20 seconds ???
