Anyone experiencing this problem? Is there a recall bulletin? The problem is the moisture caused corrosion and ultimate failure of gauges and connector of original panel and also 100+$ replacement panel

I need a panel. Not because of water AFAIK. The signal wire from the alternator is good, the hour meter and all the lights and other gauges work, no moisture inside, clean connector and it is corrosion free but the tach does not work. A new one- (PANEL, METER, Part # K2731-62510) is $273! I just wanted a working tach not to send it to college! Is there anyone who repairs them? Anything used? If I replace it does the hour meter stay correct?
After seeing condensation in mine.... I drilled a couple 1/4" holes in the rear lower edge. Then duct taped a small desiccant pack over the holes. Haven't had condensation since.
