My BX2200 occasionally seems like it gets an air lock in the steering and I can spin the steering wheel freely. It's most likely to do this when trying to go straight. If I constantly turn back and forth, it seems to prevent it.
This acts to me like air is getting into the control unit. Once when it was free wheeling like this, I pushed on one of the front wheels and it turned easily like the steering cylinder was also full of air.
I've seen some old posts that this could be due to the o-rings in the cylinder, but I'm skeptical. Even with bad o-rings, I wouldn't expect the wheels to move that freely that fast, and to work OK when being turned back and forth.
Anyway, has anybody gotten to the bottom of this?
