Maybe I haven't been paying attention because it was winter and didn't need it......and maybe this is not news to the rest of you but the 'roundup' I was paying $49.00/2.5gallons last year at TSC is now $135.00!!!!

I also noticed that the lumber prices (again haven't needed any lately) is also back up. Bought OSB late last year for about $16.00, now back up to $48.00 here.

Round up has to pay for that class action lawsuit due to causing leukemia. Probably passing the cost back onto the consumer.

Whoa!

Not sure about the round up, but I was putting off buying lumber for a project, and guess I will put that project on hold for another year if things are the same where I live as far as lumber prices go...

I didn't realize lumber prices ever reduced after Covid slow down, prices are still way up here. I don't see how these new houses are going up, they can't all have been done deals before the inflations hit.

Dunno about fuel prices heading south for long and that's actually Pennie's on the dollar anyways. I hope there's no real emergencies between now and them restocking it.. if that ever happens!

I just looked at Lowes, and their highest
price was $47 for 32 oz of concentrate.

Back in October, we were going to buy 1500LF of poplar base/casing from Menards for roughly $2/LF. When I was ready to pull the trigger in March, it was $3.50/LF... My $3000 order + shipping turned into over $5000 + shipping. I lucked out and found an online vendor that hadn't raised it's poplar prices yet and snagged 1600LF shipped to my door for $3800. Wood prices are insane. Groceries are also coating us on average $2-300 more per month.

I blame corporate greed, masquerading price increases as "inflation" to provide shareholders with increased profits over record profits during the pandemic.

If this is a gripe thread, I have one to add.

I hit the local Wendy's drive thru the other night for two burgers and two orders of fries (no drink, nothing else). I'm convinced that all the fast food jaunts purposely position their drive thru menus so that you don't have enough time to read it and see the prices before the chuckleheads in line behind you start growing impatient and lean on their horns.

After placing my order (two burgers/two fries) the young woman said...That'll be $24.xx. Please proceed. What??????

If my Queen Mary of a truck could've made the turn I would've bailed on the order. Granted, they were triple burgers (and mighty tasty) but at $9 a pop? Yeeeeesh.

If this post doesn't fit the spirit of this thread, I'll strike it from the record.

For that price, you could have had a burger or two at a Coney or fast casual... Ridiculous for fast food.

Well for some good news in this depressing thread. . .
Not only have gas prices dropped about $.50/gal in the last few weeks but my company is a distributor for a major water heater mfgr and they just announced a significant price drop.

What caused leukemia???
Linked it back to roundup, apparently large exposures to it have been linked to causing non-hodgkins lymphoma (leukemia).

Seems like there are commercials for the class action lawsuit against the makers of roundup daily on TV.
