Went up north Thursday afternoon, my neighbor (who sold me the B7100) has decided to move, and was going to have a multi day garage sale. Thursday night a storm dropped 5" of snow, so he only had a half day sale on Saturday.
Anyway, I came home today, (Monday) so I could be here when my tracks are delivered Tuesday or Wednesday.
As I backed into the drive, a semi pulled up & delivered my tracks early.
Thankfully, I was there to receive them, as no one else was home, because my wife was at the emergency room with her mom.
Not sure when I will get to them, with the MIL situation, but I used the mini X to drag the pallet into the backyard.

Note: Tracks are heavy; shipping invoice says 296lbs.

Pic of the large bucket.
Note the "homemade" teeth, and the crack.
Fixing this up will not be a priority, as I see little need for it in our hard, rocky ground.
Now if I had soft soil, no rocks, and needed a swimming pool....

They are going to be a lot lighter than your steel tracks so keep that in mind. those steel tracks are acting as a counterwieght.

Gotcha.
It's going to be so nice to move this thing without having to worry about the tracks breaking of falling off.
The last 4 times the BIL (or actually his neighbor) used the excavator a track pad broke, a track pin broke, & a track came off twice. The steel tracks are shot.

i had some old 90s rubber tracks on at first, then i got new ones and the thing became way smoother and easier to drive.. no more lagging or grinding.

..i can only imagine how it is with steel tracks :D

A hint of how worn the steel tracks are.

The new ones look like the right circumference, anyway.

Have you dug a hole with that thing yet? Get it good and warmed up? Like an hour of use?

Only before I brought it home. Dug out the OOs burn pit before loading it to move it to my land up north, then spent another hour learning the controls (playing) & such.
Since I've had it at the house, I've probably run it half a dozen times, total of maybe 4 hours for warm ups before changing oil, coolant, tracing wires, etc.
Last ran it to drag the pallet with the tracks on it from the RV drive into the back yard.

Work on it will slow way down now, MIL passed away.

Caregiver phase one was taking care of FIL, phase two was taking care of things when he passed, phase three was taking care of MIL, phase four will be taking care things now that she has passed, phase five will be dealing with disposal of the poor condition house, car, & etc, and 70+ years of acquired stuff.

Boom swing stop modification:
Swing was still uncomfortably close to the end of swing travel with the first stop, so it got modified.

Not sure when I will get back to this project, but thought I would give credit where credit was due in the interim.

After looking a how much work was needed, and all the hassles of transporting it, chasing extinct parts & manuals, machining new parts, cleaning decades of dirt & grime, all in the middle of the caregiver thing, I had pretty much decided NOT to buy this excavator.

But "the ever smarter than me" Mrs. Foot pointed out that I would probably never again get a chance to own an excavator, let alone one this cheap.

So, as usual, she was right, and here we are.

Thanks Babe!(y)♥:giggle:
