Hydraulics on 3 pt dump carry all - B6100

I have a question about the hydraulics on a B6100. I am wanting to build a lightweight 3 point carry all but have a small single acting cylinder do the dumping. Tapping into the hydraulic port under the seat would be the easiest way to accomplish this. The question remains how to I use the cylinder without moving the three point. My tractor does not have the knob to turn while operating an implement, anyway to make a simple control valve right there where I can go from three point operation to cylinder all while using the 3 point lever to control the functions? Thanks!

No loader is on the tractor and not interested in adding a front hydro pump. It does have what I believe a block in the hydraulic line coming from the pump that could be tied into I assume.
The hydraulic outlet block would be the cleanest way to go. Just plumb an inexpensive valve into the pump circuit and its totally independent of the 3pt operation. Good for the dump function and anything else you might decide to add (e.g. a hydraulic top link)....

You have two ports at the hydraulic block. One is pressure out to the valve and the other is pressurep pl return to the 3pt. The max hydraulic flow is a bit under 3 GPM so 1/4" hose is more than adequate. Your valve can have multiple spools if you want. I would go with at least two. If you are going to do it right you should also have a separate tank return to someplace like the hydraulic filler cap. Thats how Kubota did it for the loaders on the Bx200 machines.

The easiest way is to get the cylinder cover with the added port.
This give you instant select-ability with the same three point control to pick 3 point control or remote cylinder control, and yes it's only usable for a single action cylinder.

The second option is to add a spool valve, torch is selling the adapter plate:

Then add a spool valve using that adapter plate.

I am not sure what the difference might be between what you are thinking of building, and the pivoting dirt scoop that I have had for years.

BUT I almost never felt the need to have a hydraulic dump on my dirt scoop. I just lift the 3PH arms all the way up, and pull a rope on the latch, and the scoop dumps.

Now I might have to lower the scoop to the ground so I can release the latch, but that is not a big deal at all. The pivot is positioned so that a little more weight is on the dump side of the scoop, and it tilts to dump in a natural fashion, when the latch is not holding it.

Is there a specific reason you need a hydraulic dump, rather than just simply use a latch and a pivot position offset enough enough that the thing you are building will dump naturally?

This is what I am referring to. Price is a lot higher than it was almost 20 years ago! It is reversible, so it can face forward or backwards.

Just thought it would be something neat to have and give me the ability to do a small dump trailer someday. Finding a cover that has the selectable handle seems to be next to impossible.

To add two remotes to the back I take it I would need to add the spool valve and the diverter block that is sold online here?

Since my cover does not have the t handle valve, but does have the port, would it be possible to add a valve to the cover somehow?

Maybe if you were a machinist. But much simpler and not much more expensive to add an external valve. The outlet block is $25 and the valve id $$75. Another $100 in fittings and hose. You wind up with real remotes.

I guess I'm confused on what the block that is on my line already is. It has one port on it that is plugged. Sorry for the confusion, I'm not completely new to hydraulics but having a hard time understanding the Kubota hydraulics.

I don't know what a block with one port would accomplish. Standard block is just a bridge between the pump side and 3pt side. If I had to guess I would say pressure test port.

The standard Kubota aux design replaces the bridge with a diverter that diverts the pump flow out to a aux valve and then returns it to the 3pt side of the block. They are still using that design on my new L6901.

I am intriqed by this application so I will make you an offer. If you want to go this route I can supply a complete single spool system from outlet block to valve and back again for $200 plus shipping. You would have to mount the valve and run any lines from the valve to the rear. All I need from you is the length of the hoses from outlet block to wherever you mount the valve.

Yes you could just tap a line off of the cylinder cover but the three point would also still work, and with the two working at the same time the results would be unpredictable to say the least.

The block on the side is a cross over block, the plug on the side was for drilling the crossover port.
You can not tap into the block as is, you need the adapter (new block with no crossover) to make it able to tap into.

Thanks everyone, I realize that it's not really necessary and will take away from the carrying capacity. I appreciate all the info, unfortunately I have bigger fish to fry with an engine rebuild.
