it's only $1.60/l here, say $6.00 USD/USG for 'cheap' gas. Diesel SHOULD be maybe 41/l as no bigrigs on the roads to speak of...

before summer I expect gas to be the 'magical' $1.99 a litre +-$8 US$/USG

Unleaded 3.25, diesel 3.59. at least at my little town station. Much higher or lower if you go in to the big city. Unleaded there ranges from 2.95 to 3.60 and diesel is around 3.95-4.10

Well how much is the leaded gasoline?

There has been no lead in gasoline for automobiles for a quarter of a century, so why the unleaded signs and description? It would be better to compare diesel and gas prices with products that aren't watered down with ethanol of high amounts of bio.

Since state motor fuel taxes vary widely, and often there is more tax on diesel, those that keep increasing those taxes deserve much of the blame.

Paid $3.21 for Shell 87 this morning in central KY. I've seen it high as $3.29 $40 to fill up my little Ford Fusion today...I'm not looking forward to filling up my V10 F250 when I start using it more this spring...

In Canada high prices are embraced / desired by the majority.
Our Prime Minister campaigns and WINS elections (3 terms now) on higher fuel prices as solution to global warming.

Coal: $125 / tonne ($70 taxes and $55 for the coal so 60% tax.

Gasoline: at say $1.60 per litre (10 cents/litre federal excise tax, 8.8 federal carbon tax, 14.7 provincial tax, 17 cents prov/fed sales tax "gst/hst, etc... ABOUT 40% of pump price is taxes here depending what exact place you live and whether or not you are of first nations excempt etc...

and all paid for with $'s (income tax) we earned that were already taxed both federally and provincially.

etc....

so higher the better according to the majority here.

in Canada leaded is usually about 30% more than unleaded depending if you buy in bulk or not. (mogas vs. avgas)

Today in Thurston County, Washington prices were: Non Ethanol 87 octane 3.899, Unleaded 87 octane 4.199, No 2 Diesel 4.399.

'Cheap' Unleaded gas in Hamilton,Ontario is $1.60/l, about $6US per USG, diesel a bit more.
I suspect it'll hit the 'magical' $1.99/L before summer
Never understood why WE have to pay 'World prices' for stuff we have UNDER OUR FEET....

AL the gas here a has dreaded ethanol in it, except Shell Hitest @ 1.80/l...
BTW price will drop 10 cents after 4PM every day, goes back up before the morning rushhour...hmmm
