I am ordering a new truck since that is the only way to get one these days and looking through special offers, there is one for Farm Bureau members to get $500 off.

I am also going to join EAA to get an X plan pin. Need to do every thing possible since these trucks are so damned expensive.

That is the National link, on it you find the link for your state and go to that site to find a membership signup and their benefits.

It is a large Advocacy group for farmers. They most likely own a few federal politicians in the wheat belt.
They offer better insurance rates for farm acreage and equipment. A few other discounts that can be beat on the open market.
You could call them a giant union or co-op for farmers but that may be too liberal a title for their members.

In my opinion they do good for the local clod busters.

No, I've been around barns, farms, and machinery for years but never as a living. I would have to assume that I would be the farmer that lost granddad's farm. Better at chemistry than running a large dairy farm.

Here in Wisconsin anyone can be a member in the Farm Bureau, how ever only members involved in production of agriculture can create policy or vote on issues.

Anyone, but only active members are permitted to create policy and vote on WFBF issues. Active members are those who are engaged in production agriculture. Non-agricultural members are associate members.
Why would someone who isn’t a farmer want to join Farm Bureau?
Wisconsin Farm Bureau has many money-saving member benefits that all members can enjoy. In addition to access to Rural Mutual Insurance Company policies, members can save money on everything from hotel rooms to prescription drugs and office supplies. Plus, many of the issues of concern to the Farm Bureau don’t just affect farmers: they also impact agricultural consumers, taxpayers and property owners.

Google how much it costs for your state. In Pa it is $70 and change

Did you read the website I linked to? It tells you who they are and what they do. If you follow the link on there to your state’s Farm Bureau group it will tell you how much it costs.

I suspect that for most people, like me, Farm Bureau is an insurance company. I'm actually a member/customer in two states . Don't be thrown by 'Farm' - many customers are suburbanites that have no farm link.
Don't know if you can buy membership without insurance. Just call a local office and ask. Or, you may want them to quote you home and auto rates while you're at it.
The membership fee is $30/year in TN and 40 in MS. They have discounts with Ford and other companies.

This year I am producing hay from my small 5 acre homesite. We have lived here for 20 years and have had 3 horses. Now down to one, and for tax relief am turning about 3 1/2 acres back into crop. Already have the hay equipment, and just waiting on the FEL to arrive for the tractor to run the equipment. My B2410 is just a bit too small and light to run then, though I did bale an acre with it last year.

I did find the IFB pages before posting this thread, but wasn't sure just what it is all about and was asking if there are any member here that are members in an FB. I did come across a link from Country Financial that said it's $20, but all their links to the IFB were dead links. Haven't found the actual fee page, and wasn't about to put my information in to see just yet without knowing just what the heck it is. I get enough spam on my phone and email already.

Farm Bureau is an insurance agency. To be member you need to buy insurance from them. We use them in ID. I used to have farmer insurance and then I found out that we would save quite a bit of money moving to FB. We were not farmers. FB saved my brother and his company at least $1000 a year. Now that we have a family Forest which we "farm" but we do not have any additional special benefits from FB as a "farmer". As a member of FB, they also have member rates for hotels, car rentals and a bunch of other stuff which you can learn off of their website. If FB is available in your state you might compare them with your current insurance company. We insure our vehicles, property, umbrella coverage, recreational equipment, custom farming (if I break something when I work do work for someone or any injury to someone else they cover it).
