With pricing going crazy for new machines how does one come up with a price for used? 2017 b2601 226 hours with fel. I don’t want to screw anyone but don’t want to give it away either.
How do you price out a machine to sell?

I would start at 18K and work down if offers do not come your way.

Just for reference last October I sold a B7510 with FEL 48" pin on bucket, 60" mower with a new gear box. 3 sets of blades and 945 hours. With a fresh engine and trans oil and filter change. The cons were scratched paint and 1 broken taillight. I got dozens of offers from $10-$10,500 it sold for $13,100 told took 3 weeks to sell it. Tractor was $14,000 plus $840 in sales tax in 2004

If your are desperate to sell then the lowball tire kickers will be happy for another steal.

in 2020 I bought a new B2601 with 3rd function, two rear remotes, 54" bucket. (no MMM)
Purchase price from the dealer was 20k. Sold it 9 months later.
3 dealers offered $12,000 as a trade in. I got lucky and a guy bought it 24 hours before trade in for $14,500.
The selling process from CL and FB was, painful. I agree 17-18 as a starting point, and go from there.

I am actually surprised that you did not get more $.

Most people HAVE to finance, if they EVER expect to buy a tractor.
IN 2019 my (used) 2006 L48 Kubota TLB cost $10K more than my first house.
Ask dealer what they would give you on a trade. That’s the bottom. It’s worth more than that easily. WhAts the new price? That’s the ceiling.

I don't know what my 2006 L48TLB sold for when new, but I am absolutely certain (Machinery Trader etc.) that it would sell for 25% more than I paid for it (with 251 hrs.) 3 years ago.
It would be not much different than selling an RV or a car. Go to the tractor sales sites, and auction sites, look up the model of tractor, then sort by hours and equipment that is close to what you have, and that will give you a ball park figure to work with.
In 2019 I had decided to sell my 2014 Coleman bunkhouse travel trailer. I did just as I said above, and listed it for the mid high side. When spring rolled around in 2020, I had people looking but no offers, so I dropped the price a bit then they came in. Of course had I known the RV market would become a hot commodity I would have remained high and would have eventually sold it for top dollar, but hindsight and all that. I did sell for what I listed for though, no negotiations needed, and they paid cash.
So last year when looking at tractors to hay with, I looked up my B2410 pricing, with the backhoe and loader they were selling, not listing, but selling based on auction prices, for more than I paid for it.
I am not selling or trading the B2410 because it has the backhoe, although if I wanted to, Woods makes a subframe for the L4060 that will work on the backhoe so I could move it to the new tractor, but decided there will be plenty of times the B2410 will be used alongside the new tractor and am keeping it. Why not, it' paid for!
But anyhow thats what I do when selling something, what ever the market dictates.
