Anybody have recommendations for tire chains on the front of my bx 1880? Need some grip for cornering in the snow.

On my old JD750 compact tractor, it didn't take much modification to a set of car chains to make them fit the front tires. Garage sale cheap too. The chains had the V-bar which make quite a difference in steering, especially in icy conditions. I tried to keep off the concrete aprons to the house as much as possible or kept turning to a minimum on them.

Might help if you said the tire type you have on the front...maybe...just a thought...

Check with your dealer as Kubota may NOT cover damages that might occur to front axle driveline in the event of damages. You will get all different opinions on chaining up the front. No doubt front chains would help on ice just need to be careful and understand what may occur. Your tractor, your choice. Henro is correct, tires can make a big difference. Starting to see R-14 being provided as optional. Some suggest they do well in snow.
