L4701 owner . I have a toro 27ton gas wood splitter with a blown motor. could i uncouple the front bucket hoses , make longer hoses to fit and run a splitter . i know it would be slower @ 7.8gpm
Absolutely. No need to disconnect the loader - just put a quick coupler on the loader power beyond line and use that to run the splitter the same way Kubota runs a backhoe. A hundred dollars will hook it up. I run mine on a L3901 @6.8 GPM just fine.L4701 owner . I was going to suggest the same thing... I haven't personally used one, but I know several people who have, and I've heard no complaints. Why not even consider a HF engine?
