My 4701 DT just this a.m. shows the code P3001. I cannot find a list of the P codes in either the op' manual or shop manual. I recall other posters in the past saying they could not find a list of codes, either. What is the 3001?
116 hr on tractor.
I doubt is has to do with regen' as that occurred about five hr. ago.
Plus, I do have a step-by-step instruction on how to clear codes. However, it calls for being able to depress the parked regen button. My button disappeared about a month back, wondering whether a raven might've pulled it off? Anyhow, I will need to get a replacement when I can get to the shop [and hoping such a part is available right now.] Any way to clear codes without it? I guess I can live with the code flashing on the screen if I have to, for a while.
I want to say I ran across a list of the codes online once, somewhere, but I think I would have printed it off for future reference so I am probably dreaming.
Edit: ok, just found the list of codes in the shop manual. 3001 is "emission deterioration." Guess I keep operating and see what happens; ambient temp this a.m. was -9 F and I started the tractor when the temp had risen to +15, though I realize the engine block was still colder than that. No idea whether that temp thing could have brought on the error code. The engine ran as normal, and I warmed up for 20 minutes.
