Good day all. I am looking for some advice / suggestion. I have a MX6000 open station. I trailer it 4hrs each direction back and forth regularly to a second property. I have lights on it just the way I like it and would like a canopy. /sun shade. Because of the balancing act on the trailer with my little girl and all her toys, I need to drive her on facing forward. So i worry about wind at highway speed peeling a canopy back. Please share ok/NG or some suggestion…any pics would help. I’d really like to not remove and change the light configurations I have. Any suggestion on a canopy that would work with this light configuration would be appreciated. See pic. Thanks.

I have this canopy on my MX6000, installed by my dealer. My place is a 5 hours drive from the dealership and they delivered my tractor facing forward with the canopy installed. It’s made of steel and it seemed to survive the trip with no problems.

Here’s a photo of the canopy with LED lights Installed on the canopy. Because the canopy installs above the ROPs and your lights are below the ROPs I think you could install it without removing your lights. But I think you would prefer moving your lights to the front of your canopy like I did because you might get shadows.I have this canopy on my MX6000, installed by my dealer. 5 hrs is a pretty good haul for wind tunnel test I suspect. In my warped mind I think it would be like hood of car coming unlatched. I understand how it is fixed I guess the subframe of the canopy must be fairly stout? No need for safety wire then? Thanks for sharing.

The dealer told me that they don’t even sell the Kubota plastic or fiberglass canopies because this steel version is more durable, stands up to transport, and actually costs less. They charged me $400 installed. I see that just ordering the kit is $350 retail, so I’m happy with what I paid for it. It is a very basic canopy however, just a steel frame and painted panel. I do like the thick insulation that is installed underneath the canopy as a noise dampener.

I like the looks, clean & functional. It should definitely keep the sun & rain off the operator. I think this is the model for me. Thank you very much for sharing!
I feel the canopy needs to be strong for protection. I was given a piece of thick aluminum. I took it to a local metal shop who bent and welded it for $75. I built the supports and bolted it on. I wish the piece of metal was longer but it was free so there's that.
