B2772 63” snowblower question

Hi all
What rpm should I run my b8200 while snow blowing?
I run 2200 ish, don’t know if full throttle is too hard on the old kuba?
And from what I read I should run 540 pto but it doesn’t throw snow like I think it should, at the higher pto speed it seems to throw like a normal snowblower should and it seems to run smooth enough.
What do y’all think?

I always ran my blower at WOT once the tractor was warmed up. Diesel engines don't like low RPMs and thrive on high RPMs. It burns a little more fuel, but it is healthier for the engine.

I run my B7200 around 2200 rpms max. Might be fine to go higher but I also feel uncomfortable especially with over 2200 hours. My blower is front mount and works fine on the lower pto speed although certainly will throw it three times as far on the higher speed. With the hst I just let off on the forward speed when hitting heavier snow. Just blew out my 4000 foot laneway yesterday. These are the times I wish I had a cab.

All tractors have the little arrow on the tach that is where the throttle should be at when running the pto for best operations of the equipment

Just for my knowledge-- Does a B7200 really have a 2 speed mid PTO? Or is your front mounted blower driven from the rear PTO?

The mid PTO is not independent of the rear PTO so it also has two speeds although considerably higher. The front mount blower has a speed reducer where rear mount blowers are direct to the impeller.

I've been working with my B7200 front mount blower for 3 winters now. The more I use it, the better it is. There is no arrow on my teach but all the info I have found tells me to run the engine at 2500 rpm with the PTO on high speed. I've tried the low speed and high is much better. I have a lot of blowing to do on our property with some up hill so efficiency is crucial. I had some work done on the old girl last summer by a retired Kubota mechanic and his advice was to operate the engine at full speed. I've tried it and it really makes a difference.

I run my B2782B 63" blower on my B2650HSD at the "rated" mid-pto rpm of 2500 rpm. At least that's approximately where the tach gets set once everything's warmed up a bit and the blower engaged, before putting it to work. The rpms drop to 2300-2400 under load.
