I am considering purchasing the KUBOTA Pressure Increase kit for my BX25. Anyone have any problems or advice concerning this kit? Thanks.

wrong kit.... as old and tired said.

That will work on the newer BX23S..... not the BX25 .......

I did it about 6 years ago - went from 1750 psi to 2000 - kinda expensive kit for a 10 cent washer ! But I would spend the money again for the performance that comes with it.

this is the one you need - or make your own for 1/2 that price.

Was it a pretty noticeable difference in lift capacity with FEL or more with the BH?

Yes there was a noticeable difference - I could feel it and I have never had a problem since.

Look in your manual and fine the rated system pressure. Most are set conservatively, but an increase to the rated is a must in my mind. The shims adjust the pressure quickly, a few hundred psi makes a substantial change. The psi is a force multiplier, so a little goes a long way. The same can be said about stresses. So I wouldn't advise going over rated, but definitely up to it.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions. I am going to purchase the correct kit and install it. I have noticed my back hoe and bucket are not doing the job as they did when brand new so this should bring it back to where it should be. Thanks again.

You will notice as the day is long and the fluid gets hot - that too will reduce the "digging" force.

read what the front tires are rated for !! Just because you can get the lader to lift say 3000# doesn't mean the TIRES will !!! one of those weakest link things.....

With his machine (BX25) ...... the juiced up hydraulics MIGHT lift the FEL and 600 lbs on a good day with the HOE on the rear.

A lot depends on the weight of the hoe. I have seen some good-looking hoes that barely weigh 100 pounds and I have seen some that still tilt the scales over 400 pounds.
