I picked up an EA 12" one bottom plow with the gage wheel and coulter! Never in the dirt! 1 1/2 hr drive to pick it up! This model is made for the Kubota BX and other sub compact tractors!

Craigslist has worked out quite well for me too, found a New Holland 273 baler for $1250 not very far from me and it is in really good mechanical condition. Same baler in rough condition was selling for twice as much or more at dealers. Also found an IH35 rake, it needed a lot of work, but in the end it still cost me less than one from a dealer with unknown condition. I missed out on a few other items by a week though, so now I peruse Craigslist on a weekly basis in case something else comes up I can use.


Like the OP, you never know what goodies can be found.

I was surprised to find it never mind in new condition! Its kind of an odd ball item! I couldnt get the money out of my pocket fast enough!

I got a Ranette Industries rock bucket and a Land Pride snow blower for very good prices from Craigslist.

I could list a sub soiler, box blade, soil pulerizer, 2(ea) 5' mowers, 6' mower, 5', 6', 7' flail mowers, tree shear, 6' and 7' rake ..... I could list an L305, B1500, L2050... and a few other items. Just have to keep you eyes open and don't meditate too long!

I gave $900 for it! They are around $1250 including uncle sam and we all know the wait times. Not a huge savings but a savings none the least!

The closest thing I get to plowing is dragging the EA box blade or EA land leveler around with the scarifiers engaged. You need soil to run a plow, not glacially pulverized bed rock!!

I know it's a fantasy thing but I'd love to pull a big plow around a field. My dad was a farmer and I often think of him when I'm on the tractor.
