What am I missing?

I got an insurance quote from both Kubota and My Farm Bureau for my new MC 6000 and implements. Both have similar coverage with actual value pay off if totaled. Both have $250 deductible. The Farm Bureau is less than 1/4 of the cost of Kubota. Also, Kubota is a one time offer. I did not finance the tractor. What am I missing?

I may be mistaken - but the Kubota covers damn near ANYTHING you do to it - or anything other mishap ON your property or off.

Does your private ins cover the machine for you running into a tree? Dumping gravel onto your hood or flipping it over at you neighbors house across the street?

Look at the very fine print and ask a few dozen questions before signing......... just in case!

Upon reading the Kubota policy coverage when I was shopping and reading the experiences from others on the web, the Kubota coverage was the way to go in my opinion. They pretty much cover everything.

Bent my left arm, the adjustment loop, and the top link. Kubota replaced all the parts for free. Also. If a BB drops a corner it’s like dropping an anchor lol.

My agent said it covers everything except maintenance items. Both policies replace the tractor at depreciated rates on a told loss. He covers work off my property but not if left overnight (theft). He recently covered a tractor that stalled pushing a burn pile and burned up. That would make your day!

It covers all of the above scenarios so long as the tractor is in the US or Canada. If I ever take the tractor to Mexico I’ll need a different policy… and a psychiatrist. Coverage for repair or replacement is depreciated, not replacement cost.

A close review of both policies to be sure you know what you’re getting is quite important. Cheap rates often mean less coverage, but not always.
