I found an LA 402 loader but its missing the mainframe that attaches it to the tractor. Anyone have any idea where I can find these parts? I called my local Kubota dealer and the parts guy didn't sound like he thought he could get the part.....he also didnt know an LA 402 was a kubota loader so I don't have a lot of faith that he knew what he was talking about. Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like I’m going to need the hydraulics to hook this thing up. This is my first tractor and my first loader. It looks like my loader has the hydraulic lines on it but I don’t have any control lever or anything. Can I just throw any old controls on there or do I need to get the exact OEM controls?

I have that same loader on my B2910. Whether you did good or not will be decided by how much it costs to buy/fabricate a proper sub frame for the loader and the cost of the hydraulic valve and whatever hoses you need for hook up to your tractor.

Looks like you bought a project to me. Not bad if you like projects!

Jreidy85,. I'm literally in the same boat. Loader without frame.. I have a B2910. Any advice?
I ended up buying all the parts I needed from Messicks. You can make a free account with them then you can go on there and look up your loader and all the parts that go to it and see what you are missing. I ended up talking to them on the phone and make sure I was getting the right thing. After I got everything I had my local kubota dealer install it all in my tractor. I prob have $2500-$3000 all together in this loader.

The frame alone on messicks is over $1900.00. inflation I guess... Were you able to buy the control valve as a complete assembly or piece by piece.

You don't need or really even want the OEM valve. There are better and far cheaper alternatives available on the aftermarket.

Must be cause it wasn’t that much when I got mine. It was maybe $900. I got the whole valve assembly from messicks. I think that was around $300-$400. I can’t remember now. Yay inflation!!

What are some good aftermarkets?
Two off the top of my head - Brand and Cross both make a very nice small joystick loader valve with float and regen spools. Cross tends to be pretty pricey but Summit sells the Brand valves for just under $200. You can get a very basic European import for a bit less.
