I started a thread earlier in the year about upgrading to a tractor with a cab and put down a deposit for an MX6000 HSTC this past July 9th. Parts have been trickling in for months, and the cab and chassis showed up a few weeks ago with the loader showing up late last week. Now all of the parts are here and final assembly has begun. It's going to take about a week to get everything done because I ordered just about every upgrade possible. I'll most likely take delivery the week after Christmas.

I need to figure out how much I want/need for my current MX6000 which seems to be sold to someone that doesn't care much about cost. He's already asked the local dealer to order a power unit so that he can run a front mounted snow blower! Those things are pricey!

Maybe a few days delayed, but sounds like way better than a lump of coal. As I have said before I would not trade my dogs or my tractors for 10 relatives. Merry Christmas.

Front blower with a hydraulic power pack? No thanks.
Sounds like they have the $$$. Ah well glad you were able to get it sold.

Congratulations! I suspect the cab will be a welcome upgrade with the snow you have to deal with.

I think you will enjoy the cab for the winter. My MX-6000 is ready to be put up for the winter. I use my skid steer for moving snow.

I agree. I'd buy a 3-point rear pull snow blower if reversing along a driveway is too much to deal with. The cost of the power pack and front mount blower makes no sense to me.

Thanks. I already got blasted in the face a few times when using the snow blower. All it takes is a wind shift and slow reaction times to get an icy blast, so the cab will be very nice indeed. The new guy will have to live outside this winter given the sorry state of the barn.

Get a good hi res camera like this. Mount the camera inside the cab.

That's neat. I could use one of those in my truck too! :D

The new MX is ready for delivery tomorrow! It looks amazing, and just like last February snow was falling as I took one last look before it heads my way. I think the wheel weights look amazing, and the extra 660lb of weight will really help with traction. The new MX ended up costing a bit more than I expected but I added some items that weren't cheap! Overall I'm really pleased with the new MX and can't wait to be moving snow around while sitting in a nice cab. I'm also excited about pulling the rotary cutter around next spring/summer without having to deal with all of the dust. Good times are ahead!

Here's what I ordered and received.

MX6000 HSTC
1065 front loader with HD bucket, welded on hooks, bolt on cutting edge, rod level indicator
Air ride seat
Rear wiper
Rear defogger
Rear work lights
Head unit/stereo
Side mirrors
7-pin connector (for my dump trailer)
130A alternator
3rd function valve
Draft control
Two rear remotes (double acting valves)
One rear remote (float detent valve)
Engine block heater

Thanks. I was in a mild state of shock when I upgraded from the BX25D to the MX6000 back in February, but now I'm just excited. :giggle: The cab feels so roomy even compared to the open station model and the controls look and feel much nicer.

Did I mention that the wheel weights look awesome! 😂

It'll be harder to sleep when I have the tractor! :ROFLMAO: I was convinced that someone was going to try to steal the MX when I bought it last February. I have security cameras but would wake up at the slightest noise and then check the cameras. It took me a while to be ok with the MX being down at the barn and not nearer to the house.

It snowed in the night so the "old" MX isn't off the hook yet. I'll be moving snow this morning and hopefully for the last time in an open station MX.

My current MX is in the garage with the ROPS folded down. The new MX will have to live outside this winter since it won't fit in the garage. It won't fit in the barn either since the barn collapsed in a wind storm a month or so ago. I'm going to build a new barn this spring once State Farm sends me a check.

The first upgrade will be adding a USB charging port or replacing the existing cigarette lighter oulet with a USB charging port. The second upgrade will be adding the three sets of LED lights that I bought for the current MX. Once I knew I was getting the cab model I stopped working on upgrades for the current MX.

I'll post more photos once I have the tractor at the house.

Moving snow is a character building exercise for young bucks.
I did snow removal for 20+ years, riding (freezing) on my 1951 8N,.... in Minnesota.
Now.......I simply watch snow removal on TV,....... prior to checking the pool temp, and picking up a downed palm frond or two.
My 3 tractors are comfortably sleeping in their barn, with Battery Minders attached,.......1,500 miles North of me.

I push snow, hauled and feed round bales for years with a open 1950 model G JD with a stan hoist loader. Then a open JD 4020 and after a few years put a used cab on it. I don't miss the good old days of using open tractors in the winter. Glad to hear that new MX-6000 with the cab is on the way to your house. Enjoy and have a good holiday season.

The new MX is home! I need to get the hose out and rinse off the salt spray that got on the front during the epic 3 mile journey to my house! I drove it up the driveway and the cab is incredible. The seat is very comfortable and covered in cloth which really surprised me. The armrests are adjustable for height which is a great touch.

I was able to get the original seat and mounting bracket as well as the original rear glass. I'll post more details once I have the tractor rinsed off and the snow blower and snow blade moved over.

It looks like I'll have both tractors over Christmas but will deliver the "old" one to a friend sometime next week. That will give me time to get everything ready for him.
