I have some leftover 1/4wall 2x3 left over from a frame repair. Decided im going to make an adapter/mount for my loader. Primary function will be to attach my 60” atv plow that’s currently manual angle, but will eventually get a power angle added. Figured since it just a matter of welding tabs on for that function; I might as well order a 2” receiver to weld on it so I can move my trailers with the loader when I have my snow blower on. Also because I like building things to do multiple functions I’m going to instal a set of hooks on the bottom and an adjustable hook on the top so I can also use it to move around my 3pt attachments. At this time I havnet yet figured out how or even if I’m going to make it lock to the pins like a quick attach. If someone has a good idea how to have it lockable without too much craziness I’m open to suggestions. I’m doing this add on so that I don’t have to use chains or straps to move something out of the way to grab something else.

here’s pic 1 and I will update this as I go. I only have a mig welder, so I will be taking this to a friend of mine who is a metal wiz to wed with his stick welder once I get it all cut, mocked up and probably tacked together.

Started too soon, I’m 1 45” piece short on making the frame and it’s been snowing non stop all day. So at least I got to use the tractor. My steel guy said he is pretty sure he still has some of the 1/4” 2x3 in stock but I won’t be able to probably grab it till Friday.

So the ssqa to plow bracket is all done, I cant Paint till the weather warms up. So far it’s only got 2 functions, a receiver bracket and a snow plow bracket. I will get the plow blade on later and take a couple more pictures.

Thank! However, cant call it awesome till it’s done. Or at least I’ve put it on the tractor and put the plow on it. Lol

not sure if I will paint it black or kubota orange.

Failure update....

So it doesn’t fit my BX23s.... I need to widen it by 1/4”. I thought that ssqa was supposed to be standardized?.?? We used his tractor (50 ish hp kiot) as the template. It’s ssqa is 44” my BX loader ssqa is 44 1/4” a failure on my part as I didn’t measure mine as I assumed (horrible thing to do) that they would all be the same measurements. So I’m going to cut the sides off and weld in 1/4” plates on each side of the horizontal bars to give me an extra 1/4“ of play on it.

Plow update so at least we got that part right. It’s designed so I didn’t have to modify my plow so that if I ever need to I can pop the pins out and still use it on my atv.

here is the atv bracket. The factory pins were held in with cotter pins but I will use a linch pin or something similar to make changing it faster.

i need to go to town to buy some chain. This at least shows how it will float independent of the loader. I have a d ring on the plow and will use another d ring on the loader mount. Which is why if you look close you can see the hook has a loop on it.

this post is going to be picture heavy. I have decided to call is the SSQA-V. Definitely need to get a chain. But I had to try it with the cheap ratchet strap, it broke twice and I just tied it back together. With the atv I would have to do the driveway in sections, the weight of the tractor let me push snow the entire length from the garage to the road no problem.

here is how I made it fit, we cut the inside corners out of the vertical side braces and boxed It with angle iron, the bottom pin plate had to get some large notches cut into because the built in loader stand adjustment brackets were in the way.

So my neighbour stopped by after I was done testing it out and I mentioned having to go get a chain,, what does he do? Goes to his garage and returns with a chain!, So this is done till spring. I used carabiners since I have 4 heavy duty ones.

I like the way you did the top tabs and reinforced them with the plates. I'm in the planning process for a DIY SSQA that will be adaptable to different attachments and will use that approach. Thank you for posting the pics!

thanks! Using the angle iron, besides it acting as a reinforcement. It gives you the perfect angle for the top of the ssqa.

Moved around my flat deck and the horse trailer. The SSQA-V Worked perfectly. Although next time I will use my other drawbar. That one sits too low so I can’t see the ball sitting down. Even adjusted to it top position it sits just out of view. I also was able to lift the flat deck front up to a more reasonable working height to install the aluminum truck box I got for it

i didnt Weld that up, when I get a crazy idea and want something done with a stick, I bring it to my friend down the road. I only have a mig so I don’t do heavy duty stuff in my garage. I only weld light-medium duty items.

Finally adding the 4th and 5th function to the ssqa-v. Picked up a set of forks from kijij, they are going to get modified to fit the QH05 and I will be welding 3 brackets into the mount I made so I can pin the forks to the frame. this will allow me to utilize the forks on the FEL and the 3pt Weather dependant I am hoping to get it all welded up tomorrow. If you notice the lean in the machine... it’s because I got a flat rear tire. Plugged it and carried On.

Change of plans. Instead of mounting the forks the the ssqa-v my buddy stopped by. Went home and grabbed some scraps of plate and we ended up just modifying the forks to fit the ssqa on the loader. not too bad for $300 a case of beer lol

started by cutting out the pins fro what I think was alo brackets? Saved the pins because I never throw anything out. then I was going to to line it up with the ssqa-v and weld on 3 2x3” tabs from tubing. That’s when I got interrupted at the right time.

I don’t have a pic of the lower plates. Got dark and the forks were outside.

top plates got welded on, then we plasma cut the notches for the bottom plates, using a thin piece of metal as a spacer. We also added pieces to the inside of each top plate so it can’t slide.

Hard to beat the SSQA snowplow. I love mine. I just started with a blank QA plate and added an old 6.5ft myers plow to it. I use the front remote for the power angle.

Finally got my winch wired up. I have enough wire that I can use it on the loader or the 3pt hitch attachment. For the loader. The plan is to only use it to pull logs up a set of rails (that I still have to build). On to the sawmill deck. That way I can have the logs closer to the mill and only have to have the tractor working on the one side.

your post got me thinking.. eventually I want to get a hydraulic top link. I bet I could fab up the brackets to use it for power angle on the plow because I can’t use the top link with the blower. It would mean adding somthing to my 3rd function so I could operate them independently.
