I have disliked the factory coupling, and thus hose routing, for my B2650 with B2782B snowblower. The straight up couplers at the cab side connections are poorly thought out!!!!

I want to go 90° and this will allow better hose routing and, in my opinion anyways, less stress on the hose/connection joint.

Numbers I can decipher on the fittings:

Dixon Quick Coupling
4AGF-PV
12 S A E M 17N1

If nothing else, I could replace the fittings where the hoses attach to the couplings.

Suggestions or experience appreciated!!

If you can take the coupling to a hydraulic store, they can fix you up with the proper right angle fitting to do what you are wanting. Without knowing the size and type of thread that the coupling is, it is difficult for me to help you any further. Pictured is a 3/8 JIC by 1/4" female NPT adapter. If you can figure it out on your own what the thread is, then you can order the parts from one of the online hydraulic suppliers and it will be very reasonable. I am by far, not an expert on these descriptions and I rely on the online company 800 number to get what I need when I describe it to the salesperson.

The coupling is made by the Dixon Valve Company. 4AGF4 designates a size 4 (1/2") female agricultural coupler with female pipe thread. PV means its a poppet versus ball valve style coupler.

SAE 12M is a little less clear but I interperete it as a #12 male oring end thread which I cant identify in the pictures.

You can download the Dixon catalog to double check that. Finding a 90 degree elbow to fit what you have should be very easy.

That is an SAE oring male thread. I cant tell what the swivel is. Most likely JIC or NPT.

Would you use teflon tape/dope on an o-ring fitting?

No. If I had to guess that is a pipe reducing bushing screwed into the coupler. Probably 1/2" male on the coupler end and 3/8" female on the hose end.

If you wanted to make that a 90 just replace the bushing with a 1/2" male x 3/8" female street elbow. Use a steel htdraulic fitting not iron pipe.

Thanks everyone!!!!!

I may pull this apart tomorrow and check it all out for thread size and connection type.
