Hi...I'm new, joined because I have a question and will probably have more, this forum seems to be the technical area so here is my question though not a service issue or repair issue.

Can anyone with accurate source of information, not just specs downloaded from the web or marketing brochures, tell me the turning radius of the B3300SU

Some sources have it as 2.4m and most of these are re-hash of the spec sheets from the US website, while others (try kubota.ca) have it as 2.1m

Every other B series model, has a turning radius of 2.1m, the B3030, B3000 etc, the only odd one out is the B3300SU, and with the inconsistancies referred to above, I wonder if this oddity is an error.

So, does anyone have an authoritive source for the turning radius of the B3300SU please. I need to be sure of it as I am comparing the B3300SU and the L3800 with the intention of buying one or the other

The Canadian site shows turning radius as 2.1 m with brake which is the same as the 3200,3030 etc.. It does have a 1.5" longer wheel base.;)

Have a good look at the rear axles on the B3300SU. I bought the L3200 in part because the bearing centers for the 3200/3800 rear axles are about twice what they are on the B3300. I ended up putting 2-1/2" spacers on the rear wheels, both for chains and stability on hills. I also usually have 500-600 lbs of implement or weight on the 3PH. I don't know of any problems with the B3300SU, but it made me nervous. With the L3200/3800 you are getting what appears to be a heavier duty rear end, and another 600 lbs of steel.
Keep in mind that the bucket is wider and sticks out farther on the L3800 FEL, which has a huge real world impact on turning radius.

My operator's manual for the B3300SU says turning radius is 2.4m braked. Have not measured it though, nor have I ever needed to use the brakes for turning.

You are right, the almost identical B3200 (and B3030 and B 2630) are specified with 2.1m turning radius. Why?

It is not tyre size limiting the turning radius, since the B3200 has the exactly same front tyre size like the B3300SU.

One difference I can find: the B3200 (and B3030 and B 2630) have a wheelbase of 1666mm, and the B3300SU has a wheel base of 1696mm. But this 30mm difference seems too little to explain the difference in turning radius.

One last possibility I could think of is, if the turning circle was determined with 4WD engaged. The front wheels are always designed to rotate slightly faster than the rear wheels, as this aids steering. What if this ratio was for some reason slightly different between the models?

Anyway, you will find the B3300 is very agile for its size.

The B3300 comes with larger tires on front and rear. With the larger fronts limiting turning angle of the fronts plus longer wheel base all adds to the turning radius.

I was working in the yard today, did a tight turn on my B3300SU and outside front wheel impression in the dirt was 19 feet, or 5.7912 meters. So I don't think 2.4 meters is right. Hope this helps.
