My dealer wants $700+ for a QH15. There others on the market in the $200-$400 range. Is there a reason for the price difference other than the orange color? I willing to pay the extra if the is a legitimate reason. Thanks

He's ripping you off. Good Works Tractors has them for less. Even has one that doesn't require bushings on each implement.

Paid $570 in Corsicana, TX two weeks ago for a QH15.
There is NO STANDARDs for quick hitch lower and upper link placement/dimensions. You must know what implements you will be meeting with the QH in order to be sure you have the correct one.
There are also differences in the Kubota brand QHs....QH15 is Cat 1 pins, but they give you cat3 bushings. It is a bit narrower at the bottom links and will fit most Kubota QH compatible cat 1/2/3 implements. You will need cat2 bushings for the supplied cat1 pins, so don't leave the store without some (if you don't already have).
The QH20 is all cat2. It is a bit wider, but will not fit cat1 implements.
If there is that big of a difference in Kubota brand...imagine how variable other brands will be!
Just make sure you know the QH you buy will fit the implements you have first. Also, the QH15 we bought was black, not orange.

FWIW, the Kubota/Land Pride QH10 should cost about $500, and it does not require bushings for Cat. 1 implements. It does not have a movable top hook. I have a QH10, and I can link to all of the equipment in my signature (except for the Spreader which is not QH compatible - probably none of the LP are). I have not regretted not having a movable top hook.
That's odd, because a quick check of Land Pride's website reveals that the QH15 is indeed a Cat 1 QH. You'll need a QH20 for Cat 2.

Not correct. Read my post above. The QH15 has cat1 pins, but you can put cat2 bushings on the pins and the width of it still fits most cat2 implements. It’s the best of both worlds. The QH10 is cat1 only, the QH20 is cat2 only. As I said, it gets complicated.
First hand experience, trust me the QH15 works on cat2 implements. I hooked up our LP RCF2084 rotary cutter to it 2 weeks ago and mowed a few acres.

I have no idea what your trying to do, QH wise. Going forward I'm going to be watching this thread unfold as a spectator only.
Got a black HF QH for about $100. Problem with top hook on a bush hog. Can get another top hook for about $50 on Amazon to fix that. Need a couple bushings on each side (and move from implement to implement easily) for about $2 at TSC for bottom pins.
Might need a $50 U adaptor for some less complient implements. Had to use on my back blade.

I am not sure how new or old this is but it is handy to reference when implement shopping. Most shops or business will go take some measurements and check for you. Happy shopping.

I have pretty much decided on the QH15 or equivalent for all the reasons reported. I was just wondering what makes the Q15 price point at $700+ vs much lower for others.
Congrats on the MX. I have a QH20 for with mine. It is very hefty. Most land pride implements are cat 1 or cat 2. Most all their stuff with fit the QH15 if that is the route you go. See the pic below…if your dealer has this literature think about getting copy of one…it’s got all their stuff and clearly identifies what cat size and all. I can tell you a QH20 is a hand full. I am not sure about the QH15 but I keep cheap dollies around and set my stuff on those and then can wheel it right up to the machine.

I also have a QH10 as noted below. It works well. I've found that the latest Tarter box blade fits it as well as LandPride. My older King Kutter rear blade won't. Planning to sell the King Kutter that and pickup a compatible LandPrive blade.

As I recall, my LP QH15 had a list price of $599. I purchased a bunch of stuff at the same time (tractor, brush hog, box blade and some remotes) so I got the dealer to sell me the QH15 for $550. $700 is too much, thinking the dealer is taking advantage of the fact the QH's are, like everything else, in short supply.
