Having some trouble with my seat interlock, works fine for me but no matter how I adjust the air ride seat my wife is not able to move the tractor.
I will be having surgery shortly and my wife will need to operate the tractor to clear the snow and our dealer wont be able to get me in before then. I wondering if anybody has experience with disabling the seat interlock? Thanks in advance.
Cheers Colin

I would follow dirtydeed's idea.

I doubt your dealer would eliminate the interlock, and it could be your wife is just not heavy enough to activate the interlock.

Have a similar issue in our Subaru, where the air bag does not always activate for the passenger...wife is too light...

Remember, these seat interlocks we never used on older tractors. Neither of mine have them...do not miss them...but on the other side of the coin, make sure the wife is aware of dangers operating tractors...

Hope you find a solution that works for you!

I'm jealous - my wife has no problem with that interlock....

She operates it regularly but I did reinforce the dangers to her. Thanks

I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but if she operates it regularly, what is the root issue?

I guess I missed something...
The seat interlock issue started a couple of months ago, even happens to me when the cabin is cold, then hunting season😊. I wasn't worried about it until my surgery date was moved up to next week.
I thought I'd get it fixed at the 400 hour service in a couple of months. Now I can't get it in for a few weeks and we are sure to have snow before then.

My L2501 has a similar switch to the one pictured and was a little sensitive for me when I tried to lean forward to see the forks. I put a short piece of 1/4" id air hose on it and that was enough to push it down a bit more so I haven't had it happen all summer.

My wife will not even drive my 1962 Chevy, which is very much like the car she learned to drive with, or at least supposedly learned to drive.

So today I bypassed the seat interlock, nothing like the pictures supplied by @dirtydeed, his might be an open cab model not sure, mine has a cab.
Thinking that my situation was the same as dirtydeed's I started out removing the seat. Removing the seat is not necessary. You start by removing the seat cushion, loosen the Velcro on the front and pull down on the seat back, the cusion will now be free of the seat.

Next you will move the seat all the way forward and disconnect the connector for the seat interlock. After that I made a small jumper with 14 AWG wire and inserted it into the connector.

When that is complete reattach the seat cushion and you are ready to go. I will be getting some shrink wrap to cover the jumper with but other than that its a pretty quick fix once I knew what was happening.
Cheers

Or you can do what I did as posted here

it has been this way for a year now without one failure and I still have all the functionality of the original seat switch
