Alas, same story for me on my 2011 BX2660.I thought this was a great idea and it is, so I ordered one. Arrived today. Won't fit in my BX2380 fuel tank. There is a ridge about 2" down in the tank and this won't fit past that ridge. YMMV
Well hell .......... I might be SOL too then - I will find out this weekend on the 1850 .....Alas, same story for me on my 2011 BX2660.
What is the diameter of the ridge?Alas, same story for me on my 2011 BX2660.
I think it works both ways. Knowing what it doesn't work on has great value if you have a particular tractor model that someone says it does not work on...Those that have purchased this filter, please tell us what year and model of your tractor that this fits. We don't need to know what tractors it doesn't fit, because that will be a lot longer list, just the ones that it is a proven fact that it works with what tractors. Thanks..
The filter I ordered (same as the OP) should arrive later today. I will post if it fits my BX1860.I think it works both ways. Knowing what it doesn't work on has great value if you have a particular tractor model that someone says it does not work on...
Love that photo. I think you convinced me to buy one for my BX2200!I got my filter today and installed it in my BX1860. That said, it did not just drop right in. There is an approximately 1/16th inch ridge about 1 inch below the top of the filler neck. I had to wiggle the filter to get it past that ridge before it would go in the tank. Once installed it looks like it was made for my tractor. Attached is a picture of it installed.

I have not driven the tractor yet so I cannot say for sure. I will report back if it does cause a leak.Is there any seal to the tank to stop leaking of fuel (between tank and screen?
Don’t know if it is needed but curious if it leaks there.
Thanks for the feedbackI just went out and filled the tank all the way to the top of the filler neck and shook the tractor for about one minute. No leaks and no seepage. Everything is tight.
Hmmmm I ordered/got the same filter. Looked kind of long so before I stuck it in, I did a 'screwdriver dipstick' test. The driver hit bottom about an inch before my mark.... I need one about 7" long, this one is 8.46" (per Amazon)Not to hijack the thread ..... but ctyke has found the perfect solution for the BX tractor!!!!!
On a whim I ordered this FILTER
I figured what the Fy yuck .......... 9 bucks ........ hell I have wasted 9 bucks on a 6 pack of beer and pissed it away...........
I had one made a while back - cost me $85 ....... it works and is damn nice ........ but for a 1/10 of the cost this works almost as well. True the micron rating is gonna be higher with the cheap one but it will keep 99% of the crap out the tank!!!
One on the left is the $85 and the one right is $9 ....... and fits perfectly
I bought a BX1850 and I'll use the cheap one on it!
Kudo's to CTYKE for the find.
