I purchased a gearbox and got it installed, and the blades are turning backwards from what it has been doing for years. Are blades available for turning in either direction?

i have never seen blades which do not rotate clockwise (viewed from above)

There's one tractor, gray market probably, that has reverse PTO direction. Seems like there was somebody last year trying to reverse his. You must have gotten his gearbox

im not even sure gray market tractors even had mid PTOs.
even if you found reverse blades, the deck wouldn’t discharge correctly among other problems.

I believe gearbox direction may be related to how it is driven.
for example. the mowdeck on my G5200 is driven by shaft from the front of the machine (from rear of engine) Perhaps, the mowdeck in this discussion is driven from the rear of the machine?

Then make sure that the belt is routed properly and that you have the right gear box for that deck. Even a different suffix on the deck model number can make the difference on the rotation direction on the gray market units.

I think you may have mounted the gearbox upside down. If you turn it over it will reverse direction.
