Here's my solution. It's a modification of a few I've seen shared. I used some scrap 1x6" I had in the garage. After pondering my design and making a few measurements, it was a 30 minutes project. The Mrs. was kind enough to spray paint it black. I bought the U-bolts for about $6 for the pair. I think it will serve me well.

larrybud,,, don't mean to be critical, just observant. That would never work for me. One trip thru the woods and I'd be buying a new saw. Maybe rotate it 90 degrees.

Thank you for your concern but I have high confidence that this saw is not going anywhere until I pull it out. I toyed with a higher angle but then pulling the saw out would be difficult. I guess time will tell.
