let’s see some DIY canopy pix boys. Weekend warrior here, not trying to pay $650-1000. So far I’m digging the $25 golf cart videos on YouTube, but open to see some creative solutions!! Thanks.

I love the golf cart idea........ I did it - work fine if NOT better than something you pay a lot of bucks for.

Justs plan it out -

Need some good "U" bolts ......
Metal if that is your choice of supports

Cutting the top to "fit" the rops is the only part that requires any "thought" - but if you are going on top of ROPS then no problems at all!

I did NOT want mine to be higher than the ROPS - cleanance issues where my problem

Cart roof that passes the 80MPH towing test. It is the main reason I made my own, most of the aftermarket (and OEM) kits say to remove the roof when towing. I tow all the time.

The fan is a game changer for heat and bugs.

NHS, I need to make a setup like yours! I have a nice light weight canopy that I made, but I need to remove it to trailer 7 miles to another lot that we own. Your fan and mirror set up are the cat's meow!!

Here's my home made canopy set up: Home made Sun Shade or Canopy for my Kubota BX2650 | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota

It works great and the additional visors really help to keep the sun off the arms and neck. The down side is having to remove it for travel to mow another 2.5 acre lot that's about 6 miles away.

Its more the sturdy frame work he built rather than the top itself. Very nice job and I do like the fan!
