Finally got my loader and backhoe installed on my Lx2610, put it right to work at a friends house breaking down a pile of wood/dirt from when he built his pole barn. Just waiting on my wheel spacers and my forks. I was Quoted a 54” bucket with cutting edge, but upon pickup today it had a 60” light duty bucket with no edge on it. I may just keep the 60” and put a cutting edge on it. Thoughts anyone?

I personally am in favour of the larger bucket. Which isn't an option in NZ, but is in other countries. My view is that my loader skills generally aren't so good as to have heaped full buckets on every load. A mostly full 60" bucket is about the same as an all the way full 54", and easier to achieve. I don't really see a situation where a 60" lifts less than a 54". I do see situations where it lifts more (light materials, poor operator technique on heavy materials). It's not as strong a bucket, but the cutting edge would give a bit more strength. I think it's fine.
Had a guy take down another 2-3 trees of decent size (100' 18-24" base) maples as I need to install a 70' French Drain and these were in the way and/or I would weaken the root system.
Been cutting that mess up and hauling the bucked up rounds out back to rent a splitter in a few weeks.
Then I will need the tractor for said French Drain.......need to order up a large amount of washed gravel, already got 100' of drain tile here.
Then 50hr service and swap over to winter setup.......
Meanwhile it is hunting season for me so there is that.......

Talked to Messicks about my quick attach. They shipped my pin-on loader quick attach and my alternator kit the same day, two packages. Fedex lost the quick attach. As April from Messicks said "it's a large orange hunk of steel, not sure how you lose that!!" She reckons it's very rare for stuff to get lost, they've ordered another from Kubota. Still waiting, and that means I'll need to pull the forks off and put the bucket on today, I'd hoped I wouldn't have to do that again without a quick attach.
We have our annual 'bulky waste pickup' in a week or so. Used the tractor bucket to bring up several loads of stuff to the curb. 4 hours later most of it was gone courtesy of 'pickers'. Fine with me that someone could use it.

Possible rain forecast for this area. Even though it's doubtful, I serviced the PTO blower and gave it its first seasonal run on some fallen waxy cottonwood and poplar leaves. Once wet they tend to stick to the ground pretty good. In just a few minutes (two rounds with the blower) they were back in the woods where they belong. It's also a turbo!!
Moved Rocks all day with the 60” bucket and even picked up some real big ones with the 60” grapple. Someone told me that the 60” bucket filled with material was too much for my machine. Well that statement is false lol

I have a couple , mainly run a Bomber.
Didn't do anything on tractor this week, might fire might fire it up and take for a joy ride.
