Interesting concept, not sure about the execution...

boy I see's lots of issues

first it's the wrong color

second could you imagine the liability involved with anyone manufacturing something like that?

Reason I mention....when I were a kid, well a younger kid, in the summer my daddy took myself and my older half sister (who is worthless) to a farm out in the midwest. We'd spend a week or two there doing, well, farm stuff. Cattle, corn, chickens, horses, you know the drill. Guy who owned the place had a daughter my age. We took off on 3 wheelers to go check a fence across the other side of the property. Kinda winds around some farm equipment, dead/retired tractors, etc. Fence was fine. We headed back. I was in front. Got back to the house, she ain't behind me. A few min pass and I didn't hear no 3 wheeler, didnt see no dust cloud, nothing. So I went back looking for her, and found her. She kinda got outta control and ran face first into a bale spear that was attached to the back of a tractor. Spear went in below her left eye and was sticking out the back of her head. I knew not to try to get her off of the spear so I took off back to the house and frantically called 911 and told her dad what happened. To this day, she's mostly fine--has a scar, but I haven't forgotten about it, and when I'm riding with a group I ride in the back usually. Not for any particular reason but I think subconsciously I am more cautious in the back of the group.

great idea, as said, implementation not so much.

Looked like fun to make, fun to get YouTube $$$ from the views/subs...but as for practical use I don't see much.

I've seen brush cutters on snowmobile trail groomers, some that were much more heavy duty than this one.

He might want to have skids down low to limit the amount of suspension travel and tilting.

Hydro crews use a longer version of the one posted by PTB, suspended from a helicopter to clear brush next to their towers. Odds are pretty good there's nobody near the towers. It's a fast, cheap way to clear the brush.

Our snowmobile grooming drags have a brusher bar just like that (on one side). They work great. We don’t go nearly as fast though. They get clogged up and have to be cleaned out often otherwise the branches ‘plug up’ the knives. We can extend (just past vertical) and retract ours hydraulically, there’s always leaning trees that would snag it otherwise!

Well, I respect anyone that rolls up their sleeves and builds something. But he better have good seat belts. And good health insurance. I foresee trouble down the road. Or should I say down the trail

saw a bit of the video and thought it'd be more stable with 1000# of low to the ground weight on it. Also trail ain't very 'groomed', it bounced here, there, everywhere...
was taugh make trails x2 what you THINK is a good width... Mother Nature can retaliate very fast....

I won't Monday morning quarterback the guy, but I will tip my hat to him. He has good skills and a nice shop with lots of cool tools to use. He could've always just pushed the easy button and bought something or paid someone else to do it.

I say good job! (y)

I like the idea and give the guy props for the effort as well.
With the suspension these new side by sides have I’m sure they don’t have much of a problem with how rough that trail is.
