I have a B8200 HST 4x4 from the mid to late 80's with an RC60-92H belly mounted mower deck. My lawn is a well fertilized and irrigated acre (give or take), and I frequently have a need to bag my clippings, but even worse leaf season is coming!!

I have seen protero and terra king both make a nice dump from seat PTO driven collection system, but I cannot justify spending nearly the worth of my tractor on one of these collection systems. Are there any other collection system options out there (used or new) that I might consider? My local Kubota Dealer wasnt much help...

Thank you!

Plenty of relatively low cost small engine equipped tow behind possibilities. Cyclone Rake and DR Power are two possibilities starting at around $1500. I am sure there are others if you look hard enough. Three point hitch mounted and PTO driven is going to run at least 2x to 3X that.

Dan,

Thanks for the reply, and indeed you are right. I ended up buying a DR. The one challenge I encountered though was finding a boot that would mate with the deck on my old RC60-92H deck. All of the adapter 'kits' for sale were too small (including the DR branded one). I ended up finding this company called Trac-vac that makes custom chutes/boots for just about every deck model ever manufactured. I bought one of those. It cost a bit more, but it is metal and I have peace of mind knowing that it will fit properly.

I started to suggest Trac-Vac - they have been around a long time - but they tend to be pricey. I have an ancient PTO powered Trac-Vac that I have used behind my B7200. No mower deck on the tractor - just a 20' hose with 6' rigid extension on the Trac-Vac that I use for cleaning out beds and along fence lines. It is in desperate need of some TLC.

Good luck with the DR,

Dan
