Define huge.

I’m going to say MX6000. But I’m a bit biased.

What size round bales are you moving with the L2501? How much do they weigh?

Lifting round bales to stack is more than you'd think. I don't think any of the L series is enough. MX is minimum I'd guess, but I wonder whether you really need an M.

Me too! I'm upgrading from an MX6000 to an MX6000 so doubly biased. :giggle:

@jrcanoe, you might want to look at an L6060 too which is a fair jump up in price over an MX6000 but it does have a much more sophisticated transmission and a fancier cab in terms of layout and controls.

An M4 is a considerable jump over the MX6000 and L6060.

I would have said MX except he said not huge. Well, an MX isn’t huge, but it’s a lot bigger than an L2501.

Once you've had an MX for a few months it doesn't seem nearly as big anymore. If there are two or more steps before your feet touch the floor of the cab it's a big tractor! 😂

Op - I had my L2501 for about a year - liked it a lot but wanted to move on to something with more lift capacity (original reason) but then opted for a cab and AC as well! You will have no regrets! I documented MY logic in the thread HERE. Many peeps didn't appreciate reading about non-Kubota but I think the thread might be interesting for you.

Might not as well. I was wondering when you were going to try to sell another Kioti again. ;)

Did you catch his post in the Kioti forum? :D

Just another pathetic attempt to keep his Kioti thread alive. But as he keeps telling himself, he's an humanitarian that has a responsibility to guide the rest of us sheep in the right direction. BAAAAAA!!! BAAAAA!!! 🐑

I managed to find a photo of him sitting in his driveway wondering why no one responds to his posts on the Kioti forum. I'm starting to feel sorry for him.

I dont really need to stack, it's just that 8 bales (a years supply for my mini Donkeys) would take up lots of room. But 8 would require a Bigger Barn and trailer to buy so I think it would be wiser to just buy 4 bales at a time! If my L2501 had a cab and AC I wouldn't really need to upgrade. I buy two bales at a time now and just leave them in my single axle box trailer, It's over loaded but only go a flat mile.

If you're only stacking 4 bales a year, you'd find a way even with the L2501 I'd guess. Perhaps use the 3ph and a ramp? Or slide off the trailer directly onto the stack?

You can see the peeps that are oh-so-threatened by Kioti - but the purpose of suggesting that you have a look at the other thread was NOT to try to sell you on a particular machine but rather some of the factors that you may want to consider when making your purchase. The good news is the resale value on your L2501 will be high and you will likely get very close to what you paid for it.
