Hi,
Tractor has 900 hours on it. Last year completed the full oil change and hydraulic oil change.
I was using my b2400 the other day and the FEL started to not work. It would not go up and down. Then the 3 point stopped working. I then check the hydraoulic fluid and noticed it was low so I filled it up.
I let the tractor site for a half hour and then the tractor wasen't able to move. It had a higher pitch noise when trying to go back and forth.

The next day I started it up and it was able to move, but still had that high pitched whine.

I bought the tractor used. After I use it for a while it seems to heat up and the FEL starts moving slower.

Did I kill the Hydraulic pump?

Thanks for any help.

More details would help.

Did you do the oil and filter stuff? What hydraulic oil and filter did you use? Genuine Kubota or something else

Model number of loader.

Any hydraulic hoses changed or disconnected recently?

Do you have any rear hydraulic remote outlets?

The power steering is provided with pressure from the main hydraulic pump. Does the PS work?

Hi Dave.
Yes the hydraulic oil was genuine Kubota.

Oil and filters where done too.

I'm not near the tractor to find the fel number.

Hoses have not been disconnected recently.

No remote outlets.

I believe the power steering did work.

Thanks

Hoses have not been disconnected recently
Try disconnecting, checking, and reconnecting the quick disconnects. Sticks and brush can partially disconnect one causing this.

I did that without any change.
Is there a screen that is in the hydraulics that I can clean out?
Thanks

So far looks like the hydraulic pump is bad. I am having a mechanic look at it.

This is the part number C040-37303-620
It is $775 at messicks.

They said it is typically is 2 hours to replace the pump.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Yes

Screen is part #50

An air being sucked into the suction line will stop pump. Check and rubber part for deterioration and seals should be replaced.

Sometimes the pump will need a little help to get primed. Adding oil to pump is one way. Using a shop vac set to blow and pressurizing the transmission with the engine is running may get pump started.

The hydrostatic transmission is largely self contained but it received a little oil from the PS system

Ok I will.
I didn't see that in the wsm manual.

Also my tractor can move towards and back.
Why would that work and not the fel or 3 point?
Thanks

If you studied the hydraulic schematic ( not suggesting this) you would see that the HST transmission is almost a self contained unit.

It is fed a small amount of oil usually from the PS circuit but really its involvement with the hydraulic system is almost non existent.

You guys fixed it!!! 👍👏
It was the screen. This should be stickied.
Why wouldn't the dealer clean the screen when they do maintenance?
Also why didn't the hydraulic filter pick up all this crap?

Here are some pics.

The flow is sump through screen through pump. I don’t see a filter in that circuit (except for the screen). I don’t think the filters you have is for hydraulic system but only the hydrostatic drive system and one on engine oil and one for fuel.
